Kalamera 24 Inch Dual Zone Built-in or Freestanding Wine Cooler, 46 Bottle Refrigerator with Stainless Steel Reversible Glass Door, for Home, Kitchen or Office

This works perfectly for our kitchen and allows me to keep my reds on one side at a certain temperature and my white on another side with their own temperature. I really don’t use the blue light often unless we have guests over. Having the vents on the front is a must - if you plan on putting in a confined place, like under counter tops. Has a slight hum when chilling but it’s not too distracting, since we normally have the tv on or kids running around. However if you live in ranch - one level home, I’d imagine you could hear the humming in the dead Of night. Something to keep in mind. Had the unit for 2 years and it’s still running like a champ. If I had to redo this purchase again, I would go back to this exact model.

This fridge is beautiful, quiet and fits perfectly. It is not the correct temperature. I purchased a digital thermometer and it is 10 degrees higher on the left side and 6 degrees higher on the right side. There are currently more bottles on the right side than the left so that may have something to do with it. I can't say enough about how much I love the look of it but for the expense it should perform its only function and that is keeping wine at the correct temperature. It's so pretty its worth it to me to keep adjusting as I check my portable thermometer but others may not feel this way. (pic was taken before I put in bottles)

We were unhappy with the product. Upon arrival, we discovered the glass door was shatterd from the inside. Therefore, we have to return it and order another one. It's just such an inconvenience. I hope we do not encounter the same issue in the future.

The shelves are easy to remove for storage of larger bottles or a full case of a particular wine. So far the temperature display reading for the upper chamber is far below what my thermostats show the actual temperature is by 10 degrees, but that may be remedied by just setting the temps lower. Essentially the the wine cooler has the same temperature in both chambers even though the settings are 10 degrees different.

Loved the look. Unfortunately had to take out many shelves to make room for standard size wine bottles. Drawers didn’t feel sturdy enough for the wine and don’t think they would have held up for a long period of time

This refrigerator has a lot of great features. Two temp zones for red and white, attractive style, cooled really well. It was very well packaged, but took quite a bit of time to unpack. Huge box with wooden palette. My two very strong sons were able to move it to position with effort. It was working very well, until about a month after purchase, when the door fell off. The top pin for the door is too short, and doesn't safely secure the top of the door to the hinge. Amazon wasn't able to reach the company for support, but credited me $300 to pay for a repair. So kudos to Amazon for handling it well.

Set this up and tested it for a party. I was able to keep all my wines cold with minimal noise too. Most of the time these small fridge are quite noisy but this one is near silent. It took around 1.5 hours to reach the temp that I set it at and uses around 300W max power.... not sure on the sustained power because i kept forgetting to check the meter while it was actually running. the door is solid and the shelves are quite well designed. Overall I am really impressed with this wine fridge, I've always seen these things and never really used them and now I understand that they have their place!

This is a very attractive wine cooler. It operates silently and maintains its temperature well. My only challenge was encountered during the initial setup. Removing the wine cooler from the box was a one-person job and setup would have been a breeze if I didn't have to make an adjustment. I needed to reverse the door handle so it would open from the other side. To do this, I needed to remove 8 screws. Two of the eight screws were loose and the other two were over torqued. I would not have known to address this if I didn't plan to reverse the door. When I reassembled, I could not get all of the screws to tighten. The threads are definitely defective. A plastic decal needed to be removed when I flipped the door, or else it would have been upside down. I was unsuccessful trying to remove it with my fingernails, but it came off fairly easily with a plastic pry tool. I did not have to use a heat gun. There was no glue residue.

When we remodeled our kitchen, we wanted to put in a wine refrigerator, but it was just outside of the budget. So, we put in wine storage shelves. This wine refrigerator fit perfectly in the space. Though we are predominantly a red wine household, we do have white and rose wines when we have friends over. This wine refrigerator s designed to be either a standalone fridge or to be used as a built it. It looks great as a built in. The stainless steel finish matches the rest of our kitchen. The double-layered glass door helps prevent the fridge from having to run constantly. You can hear the motor when the fridge is running, but it is not very loud, certainly quieter than our refrigerator. Setting the temperature to your ideal temperature is easy using the controls on the top front; the blue LED lights on the control match the LED lights on our other appliances. If you have a variety of wines, it may be hard to figure out what is the best temperature since different white wines, rose wines, and dessert wines have different optimal serving temperatures. For general purpose Chardonnays, I prefer not to let them get much colder than about 55 degrees F, but that is a matter of taste. The door is reversible! When I was putting it in, I was unhappy with the way the door opens. If I had read the documentation fully, I would have known ahead of time the door can be easily reversed. I am happy with this Kalamera wine refrigerator. The 30 bottle capacity is as much or more than we will ever need. It is attractive and fits our existing kitchen décor.

Key points: - This is a relatively quiet cooler that holds a lot of wine for its size. - It looks good and the temperature has remained very consistent. - The door hinge can be changed to open left or right. - It may not work for you if your wine preferences run to bottles that have a much wider girth than the standard wine bottle. Champagnes, some Chardonnays and odd-shaped Rosé bottles might only fit on the larger bottom shelf. Overall review: I've been wanting to get a wine cooler for a while but was deterred from getting one when my research kept turning up complaints about how loud they are when the compressor is running. I finally just decided to give one a try and I've been really happy with this one. It sounds make noise, but it's infrequent and is more of a whooshing sound that does not bother me. I have the 15" one that holds 30 bottles on six pull-out slatted, wooden shelves. To get 30 bottles in it, you have to place three bottles facing one direction and two facing the opposite. There are some bottle shapes that might make this a little more difficult depending on how their necks fit into the spaces made by the facing bottles. (as in my photo) The shelves are not adjustable. They hold the most common bottles easily, but if you buy wine that comes in bottles that are a little fatter than standard-size (some Chardonnays and other Burgundy wines, most Champagnes and many odd-shaped Rosé wines, for example), they may only fit on the bottom shelf which is the only one that can accommodate them, so you would have to plan accordingly. I placed a refrigerator thermometer in the cooler and the temp has remained very consistent with where I have it set. The cooler was easy to set up (the handle must be attached and I did not have to switch the side it opened on) and very easy to use.

I am absolutely thrilled with our wine fridge. It's the perfect height to go under our counters and I couldn't wait to take out the old cabinets to get it set up. It is nearly ready to go right out of the package. It was so easy to get going, all I had to do was make sure it was fully upright for at least two hours. I did wipe mine out. The wood racks in it and just the manufacturing process left a bit of a production type of smell. I wiped mine out with warm baking soda water and then left a baking soda box inside to absorb any additional odors. The handle is completely reversible, so if you're a lefty and prefer the opposite side, or if it just works better under the counter as an opposite side handle, it's easy to do. Mine came with some replacement parts just incase and a year warranty. It is seriously plug and go. The setup is super simple that anyone of any age could do it. The temperature control inside is very easy to use and has the option for C of F. I chose F. The up and down buttons press easily and I selected all the way down to 40 F for myself and my items. I was a little worried about capacity, but it's a non issue for me. I am using it for all types of spirits. It fits 750ml wine bottles perfectly, but anything smaller than that also works out awesome. I used it to store a package of regular beer as well as a bottle of bourbon. The only caution I worry about is just tilting things back upright too fast if they're carbonated but I'm super happy with this overall. The blue LED inside makes it light up beautiful and it's a true statement piece. It's a wonderful addition to our hot tub room. I can't wait to get it under the counter. It just plugs into a basic 110 so no extra installation was needed on my end. I had it up and going right after I cleaned it. The temperature dropped pretty quickly and it runs quietly. Some appliances have a high frequency noise, but this one hums just like a regular fridge and isn't obnoxious at all. It was easy to level and I think I made a great choice. The maintenance on this seems easy enough and the electricity usage per year is less than a full size model uses in a month. I was shocked at the energy star rating and usage. I have been using it for overflow drinks and the wooden slats hold things beautifully. It's five star all around for us. The price is upper end, but it is a Kalamera. The only negative for me is that because it's high polished stainless, every fingerprint and smudge shows up.

So far, we're pretty happy with this wine refrigerator. We realized after we got it, that the cabinet area we were thinking of using it in was wider than we realized (my fault), we didn't want to patch with side panels, and then also decided what if this didn't last, after we took out the cabinet, rewired the area, etc., or even just decided we didn't need this, we'd have to replace later, possibly. So, we decided to use it as a free-standing unit in a nook in the dining room. Not thrilled with my solution, by the way-- I did not want a refrigerator in the dining room, but we do have this little nook area/alcove that I had a pedestal and sculpture in previously. So, we placed it there. It is out of the way of the larger area of the dining room, and really looks okay afterall. We didn't have the space to have this freestanding in the kitchen. It is narrow, but it's deep. It was freestanding. Also, since this is an unknown brand to us, and since another reviewer said he needed a part he was unable to get, we decided it was more practical to have it freestanding rather than tucked under our counter. Anyways, visually, it's a beautiful unit. It looks solidly built. We were able to choose which way to set the door, which I expected, and it was level upon arrival. Easy to check. It is really heavy, packed well, and difficult to maneuver in the box-- it arrived completely undamaged. After reading the instructions (my husband always reads the instructions and then remembers every word), we plugged it in, and set the temperature to 62. Not cold, but cooler than room temperature. My husband opened a Merlot later in the evening and said the wine had cooled to the temperature he expected. Very pleased with the refrigerator. Hope it lasts awhile. I can see changing our mind in the future about using it in the cabinet if we have luck with it for awhile-- if it proves itself to be reliable and trouble-free. Now the only issue is keeping it full. We usually don't have more than 12 bottles on hand. Now we have to get 18 more.

We have had this unit built into our kitchen for over a year now. We have to set it at 50 degrees to achieve a consistent 60 degrees. It is dual zone and both sides have the same problem. We have used several digital thermometers to test the temperature and all of them read exactly the same. I gave it 2 stars only because it looks good, it's dual zone and the blue lights are cool (seriously). When it comes to a wine fridge the temperature it keeps is critical and this unit does not cool as it was designed to do. I would not recommend this unit.

The temperature consistency across different shelf levels in this unit is terrible. Bottles on the top shelf are 12 degrees warmer than the middle/bottom of the cabinet, even after a week of undisturbed operation. The air circulation fan only runs when the compressor is active, allowing the upper shelf to essentially reach room temperature. It’s very deceptive, as the display quickly gets down to the set temperature and doesn’t vary, but this has no relation to the actual temperature in the wine bottles or (independently) measured air temp in the cabinet, which swings all over the place as the unit cycles. You could probably use this unit as a beverage chiller, but any wine subjected to this environment over time will likely be degraded. Update: communication from the manufacturer asserts there is a circulating fan which cycles every 30 seconds. If so, I never heard it, so it must have been broken -on BOTH sides. Alternatively, it could be very quiet and completely ineffective.

Pros: Was packaged very nicely with no damage whatsoever, very easy to install the door handles, fit exactly into the space of the previous wine cooler I had (Viking), has a clear and easy to read digital display, the blue lights have that "wow" factor, appears to be solidly built, is quiet and holds more than enough for our needs. Overall very nice product. Negatives: The temperature display is wildly off. I initially set each side of the Kalamera wine cooler to 40 degrees and gave it 24 hours to cool down and level off. I then installed two digital thermometers and one mercury thermometer first on the left side (so all three on the left side) to check for accuracy. I previously had all three devices in my Sub Zero fridge and freezer and they all provided excellent and nearly identical results. (The mercury thermometer of course is harder to read to the exact tenths). At a 40 degree setting both digital gauges read 43.7 and 44.1 respectively. After 24 hours I moved all three devices over to the right side. That too was set at 40 degrees on the Kalamera display and the true temperature inside was 53.2 and 53.4 respectively. Considerably inaccurate. (See photos). I have searched high and low to see if there was a way of adjusting the display to more accurately reflect the true temperature but I cannot find anything...at least not in the useless manual they give you. I tried online and didn't find anything either. Is it a deal breaker? Maybe if you expect to get and routinely keep your whites at 40 degrees. The reds are no big deal because I would keep it warmer than that anyway at closer to 60 degrees. You have to remember to compensate for the difference in temperature and you should be fine, but should you really have to? Shouldn't it be relatively accurate? This isn't a dorm room frig and you would think they would have figured it out.

After reading some of the negative reviews, we were pretty concerned about this wine cooler. Yet our older cooler has held up beautifully and it had some bad reviews too. We bought this for our new kitchen renovation to fit under the countertop in a 24" space. We left it sitting upright for the full 24 hours as instructed before plugging in. I like that the shelves are removable. You can fit 3, 750 ml bottles on each shelf except the very bottom shelves on either side - 2 bottles only on those with the necks toward the back. It's actually quiet, far moreso than our older one, which was not loud. The compressor kicks on, but not regularly (even though we placed water and sodas in the white wine side so open it quite often), and it's not disruptive at all, nor does it stay on long. Otherwise, it's totally silent. I like the fact you can choose which side for your whites and reds. I'm not fond of the blue lights (which we have turned off). Why do so many wine coolers put in 'spaceship blue' lights? And then there are the child locks - for each door. Great for those with kids! I'll update in a year regarding longevity. UPDATE: We've now had this for one year and 9 months (time flies!) and it's still impressing us! The temps were off by a few degrees, but nothing a manual adjustment couldn't take care of. Still quiet, still working very well. I can't comment on the light feature as we never use it, but it appears it can't be replaced. Otherwise I'd swap out the smaller, dimmer blue lights for white ones. Still, we are just really impressed with the small wine cooler - and even use it to put a bit of a chill on sodas on the white side as neither of us drinks much white. UPDATE: Bought this May 2019, it's now August 2021 and still working perfectly. Could not be happier. And it's still quiet, too.

The product is great, looks beautiful and is as quiet as advertised. If you are installing this into an enclosed area as I did you need to watch the height. It is listed at 33" but the correct height is 33.9". For many people it may not matter. But, in my situation the 1" difference made all the difference in the world and required more work on my part to get it to fit. Love the look of the stainless along with the beech wood shelves.

A very nice wine cooler, I especially liked these features: Individual temperature controls for each side. Nicely made wooden shelves that pull out to access bottles on that shelf. The height of the shelves is not adjustable, but you can remove any of them which is exactly what I needed to store the carafe of milk for my cappuccino machine which lives above it. Blue LED lights, which if you place bottles in the same position on all shelves give a nice blue glow to the entire cooler. These lights can be turned on/off. The lights are only at the top, and can only reach the bottom when through the slats without bottles, but if you position all the bottles the same you have either 2 or 4 columns of slats where the blue glow reaches the bottom. Nice long stainless steel handles ... they are the only assembly required, two screws hold each one on. My only problem is that bought this to also store my milk carafe and other beverages on the colder side. They claim both sides can go down to 40 degrees (many only have one cold side) but I couldn't get either side to go below 53 degrees. It was only when my milk quickly spoiled that I used other thermometers to verify the temperature ... it claimed the cold side was in fact 40 or 41. The Kalamera customer support person seemed knowledgable but was a little hard to understand because of the accent. He was kind about repeating things when I didn't understand. He thought the problem was that the cooling system had been damaged in shipment, and eventually offered to refund my money. I think the problem might be in the temperature sensing system, although it must not be the individual sensors because there was a problem on both sides. They do warn you as you unpack the unit (which was very well protected during shipment by two sets of boxes with 2" Styrofoam in between and a pallet which the inner box is strapped to) that you should not plug it in until waiting 24 hours after putting the unit in place before plugging it in to allow the cooling gas to settle after potential movement during shipment. I did exactly this because of the warning, but still had the problem.

I was looking for a built in wine cooler that was quiet. We purchased a Kalamera Wine Cooler and it arrived in great condition. We plugged it in right away and began using it even though we were not ready with the built in cabinet. It is so quiet I do not even hear it and it is right next to the living area. It looks nice. I like that the shelves are removable. This gives us the option to remove the bottom shelves and put beer or soda in it. We have only had it three months, but I am happy with the purchase. It was inexpensive for a built in and super quiet.
